Summary
After basically running out on his wife after a shotgun wedding, Shakespeare comes to London and begins establishing himself as a playwright. He meets the young Earl and they eventually become lovers. A love triangle develops when the Earl falls for Emilia Basano, an Italian musician.
Quality
The writing is high quality but it reads more as historical fiction than historical romance -- the romance theme is central but not particularly... romantic.
